The Annual Fund enables us to provide a safe environment for girls; one where they learn to respect one another and learn values such as honesty and hard work. In addition, through ongoing programs and encouragement from staff, girls develop life skills, confidence and an appreciation for education. Our programs in prevention empower girls to make good choices. Programs in theater and art, encourage creativity and self-expression.
With your support, these programs and others including sports, STEM, and leadership training help girls grow up to be healthy, educated and independent women. Click the button to the left to donate to our Annual Fund!
Adopt-A-Girl is a wonderful way to help ensure that all Girls Inc. girls can participate in our activities regardless of their family's ability to pay. Many of our members cannot afford to pay for membership, much less extras like field trips or summer camp. When you give to Adopt-A-Girl, you help ensure that every girl can be a part of Girls Inc. and participate in all activities.
The Adopt-A-Girl Campaign takes place at the holidays and makes a perfect holiday gift when you give In Honor of or In Memory of someone special. Holiday acknowledgment cards are sent to your honoree, along with a special holiday ornament. Suggested donation is $25 for 1 or 2 cards, and $15 each for 3 or more cards. And while the campaign runs during holiday time, we welcome donations to Adopt-A-Girl any time throughout the year. Just tell us the occasion (i.e., birthday, anniversary, etc.), and we will send an appropriate acknowledgment card.

2017 STRONG SMART BOLD Luncheon
Each spring, Girls Inc. of Columbus welcomes more than 500 guests to the STRONG SMART BOLD Luncheon. This signature fundraising event celebrates the achievements of local girls and honors a community leader who has made a difference in the lives of girls.
The 4th annual STRONG SMART BOLD Luncheon to benefit Girls Inc. of Columbus was on Tuesday, May 16, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the St. Luke Ministry Center.
The 2017 honoree was Teresa White, president of Aflac U.S. Teresa also is the visionary founder of Bold Moves at Girls Inc. Since launching the program in 2015, Teresa has used her influence and called upon other successful female professionals to join her in mentoring and coaching our high school girls, empowering them to turn obstacles into opportunities.
The keynote speaker this year was Dr. Jen Welter. Jen made history as the first female coach in the NFL when she coached the Arizona Cardinals’ inside linebackers for their 2015 training camp. At the luncheon, she shared her powerful message on the importance of authentic leadership, the power of diverse teams and achieving what others say is impossible. Her message is at the core of our work with girls.
