Signature Giving Opportunities

Every year, Girls Inc. of Columbus receives gifts from generous individuals, corporations, and foundations to support our work throughout the Chattahoochee Valley. Some of these gifts support specific initiatives, such as our STEM programming. Others are used where they are needed most. All of them benefit the girls we serve. We are very proud of the fact that more than 87 cents of every dollar donated to Girls Inc. of Columbus is used for direct program support.

When you give to Girls Inc., you tell a girl that she has someone in her corner who believes in her strengths and abilities. You invest in her future. Together, we can help inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

Back-to-School Clothing Fair
Starting a new school year can be difficult and something about having new (or new to you) clothes can make it a little better. So every summer, we hold our Back-to-School Clothing Fair. Our goal is to make sure that our girls start school with a new outfit, 3 to 5 gently used outfits, new underclothes and socks. We even have “personal shoppers” at the fair to help the girls pick out their new goodies and make sure they fit just right.

We make all of this happen with your donations! Cash gifts help us purchase new clothing. We are always looking for gently used clothes in a wide range of sizes from girls size 5 to women's size 20+. If retail therapy is your thing, you can even donate a new outfit! ​
Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal enables us to provide a safe environment for girls; one where they learn to respect one another and learn values such as honesty and hard work. In addition, through ongoing programs and encouragement from staff, girls develop life skills, confidence and an appreciation for education. Our programs in prevention empower girls to make good choices. Programs in theater and art, encourage creativity and self-expression.

With your support, these programs and others, including sports, STEM, and leadership training, help girls grow up to be healthy, educated and independent women.
